Water leak in heating system forces Health Department to close

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department will be closed today while crews work to repair a large water leak in the heating system. The repairs are expected to be completed in time to reopen all services tomorrow.

"When staff arrived this morning, they discovered the building did not have heat," said Clyde Bolton, deputy director of the Health Department. "Maintenance staff then informed us that the water supply must be shut off to make the repairs, so we unfortunately will not be able to provide services today."

The Health Department is located at 2400 Troost Ave.

Class...

"Class is an aura of confidence that is being sure without being
cocky. Class has nothing to do with money. Class never runs scared.
It is self-discipline and self-knowledge. It's the sure footedness
that comes with having proved you can meet life."
