Clay County, Liberty join forces; Red Cross blood drive lets NASCAR fans get into the races in new ways |
Liberty, Missouri. -- Rev up your engines for the Red Cross Racing blood drive in Liberty, Friday, September 19, 2008 from 10:00-2:00pm. Clay County and the City of Libety have teamed up to sponsor the drive. To make a donation appointment, call Sara Cooke at 816-439-4415.
The public is invited to donate the gift of life, get a limited edition NASCAR lanyard, earn points to exchange for Red Cross Racing gear at www.redcrossracing.com and enter to win NASCAR prizes.
The blood drive is located at the James S. Rooney Justice Center, 11 S. Water, Liberty Missouri 64068 on the second floor.

Why is giving blood important?
Because the need is great and the gratification is instant! One blood donation can help save up to three lives, yet only three percent of the population donates blood. In addition, the summer is normally a time when blood supplies are low.
