In 2000 when we moved to our house on Avondale in Liberty, MO, there was just a slab of concrete and a beautiful Maple tree in the backyard. Since then we have added over 90 roses, flowers, shrubs, clematis, lilies and much more.
The landscaping of the yard is a work in progress. Every year the garden matures and grows more beautiful with its antique roses, hybrid teas, miniature roses, Rose of Sharon, lilies, pathways, ornamental grasses, perenials and annual plants for accent.
We now have over 55 bird houses on the side of the house, in the Maple tree and on the fence. There are hundreds of garden pictures of "One man's Garden" that we want to share with everyone. The pictures of the garden begin in 2000 and go through the present. We are located one mile from the Kansas City, MO city limits in Zone 5.
