Sneak a peek at Liberty Arts Squared
|
Local arts enthusiasts can grab a sneak peak of what's in store for the 2013 Liberty Arts Squared arts festival at the Preview Party and artists' reception on March 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Belvoir Winery.
This event will showcase more than 20 fine artists who, among others, will also participate this summer in the Liberty Arts Squared Festival. Art and fine crafts will be available to purchase directly from the artists at the Preview, and many quality items, including artwork, will also be available for purchase at the Preview's silent auction. Donations of silent auction items for the Preview are still gratefully accepted until March 15.
Proceeds from the event and the auction will benefit the Liberty Arts Squared festival, which will occur this year on May 31 and June 1 around the Liberty Square.
While perusing the artwork and visiting with the artists, attendees will be entertained by Carole Tanner and the Liberty Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets for the Preview cost $10 each, which includes a glass of wine or soft drink and light hors d'oeuvres. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Main Street Goods and Goodies, Bea's Designs, Belvoir Winery, the Historic Downtown Liberty, Inc. office, and on-line at www.LibertyArtsSquared.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the evening of the event.
The Belvoir Winery is located at 1325 Odd Fellows Road in Liberty.
To make a donation to the silent auction, or for more information about the event, call event co-chair Heather Jones at 816.421.4460. For more information about the Liberty Arts Squared Festival, please visit www.LibertyArtsSquared.org, or e-mail festival organizers at staff@libertyartssquared.org.
