Business Fair - KCI Expo Center
On Wednesday, March 17, the Northland Chamber will host its annual Business Fair at the KCI Expo Center from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by Saint Luke's Hospital. The event will begin with a Bonus Series for Entrepreneurs/Small Business Owners featuring topics on Challenges & Successes (from 9:30-10:00), Doing Business in the Northland (from 10-10:30 a.m.) and Finding Capital & Other Resources (from 10:30-11 a.m.) There is a $50 fee and space is limited. Soup & Sandwich Luncheon
The Liberty Lion's Club is hostings it's 27th Annual Soup & Sandwich luncheon on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Liberty Junior High School (600 W. Kansas Ave.). Tickets are $6.00 in advance, $6.50 at the door, children under 5 are free. Funds from this event go primarily to fund teh Ken Cokely Scholarship given each year to a deserving college-bound senior from Liberty High School. Also, the Lions Club asks that you bring in old glasses that are no longer for use as a donation. For more information or advanced tickets, call Donna Bailey at 792-3359.
Clay County Has Talent 2010
Rebuilding Together Liberty is hosting Clay Count Has Talent 2010 and hopes that you will encourage all of your talented students, family members, and friends to enter this talent show. There are three age divisions, and all thre of the grand champions will receive wonderful prizes. All proceeds will help Rebuilding Together Clay County to improve the lives of low-income families in Clay County. Unemployment Claim & Appeals Seminar
The Kansas City Missouri Employer Committe, the Missouri Department of Economic Development - division of Workforce Development and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Unemployment Insurance Claim and Appeals Procedures seminar on Tuesday, April 20 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the Marriott Country Club Plaza. 8th Annual Greater Liberty Ride for MS
Coming on May 22nd is the 8th Annual Greater Liberty Ride for MS. The ride has become a yearly tradition in Liberty, attracting hundreds of riders and raising thousands of dollars for MS. The ride starts at Biscari Brothers Bicycles at 7 a.m. and there are three planned routes. Visit the website at www.greaterliberty.org for more information. They hope to raise $10,000 for MS. Anyone who would like to donate to the ride can visit the website.
City of Liberty's 4th of July Celebration Parade!
Join the City of Liberty this year for the 4th of July! There will be a Salute to Freedom Parade on the 4th at 3 p.m. Immediately followng the parade there will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence on the Courthouse steps on the Square.
