Lenexa police to conduct special traffic enforcement

Lenexa, Kansas - As part of the city's ongoing efforts to make Lenexa's streets and highways safer for the motoring public, the Lenexa Police Department will participate in a Kansas Department of Transportation Special Traffic Enforcement Program during the Thanksgiving holiday period from Monday, November 24 to Sunday, November 30.

The goals of the program are to identify impaired drivers, enforce occupant protection, and prevent dangerous driving. Additional officers will be assigned to this project during the mobilization period.

If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact Sgt. David Rodlund at 913-477-7414.

Laws

"Laws are made for men of ordinary understanding and should, therefore, be construed by the ordinary rules of common sense. Their meaning is not to be sought for in metaphysical subtleties which may make anything mean everything or nothing at pleasure."

-- Thomas Jefferson (letter to William Johnson, 12 June 1823)
