KC Will Have Free Health Clinic Next Week

Large-Scale Event First Of Its Kind

There will be a way for people in the Kansas City metro area to participate in a free health clinic December 9th and 10th.

KMBC's Jana Corrie reported that the clinic will open at noon Wednesday and continue to Thursday.

Sheri Wood, the executive director of the Kansas City Free Health Clinic, said that this will be the largest clinic of its kind in the metro.

"We're anticipating we'll see 1,000 people each day," Wood said. "We're going to have 60 or more providers and hundreds of volunteers."

Wood said that everyone without insurance should come out to the clinic. There will be social workers and case managers to help those without current methods of care.
