Kansas City Trash pick-up delayed, City offices closed Jan. 1


In observance of New Year's Day on Jan. 1, curbside trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day and City of Kansas City, Mo., offices will be closed. The 3-1-1 Action Center, a division of the City Manager's Office, also will be closed.

Residents who usually have Thursday collection will receive this service Friday, Jan. 2.

Residents who usually have Friday collection will receive this service Saturday, Jan 3.

There will be no interruption of service for residents with collection on Wednesday, Dec. 31.



Christmas trees can be disposed of at the City's Leaf and Brush Drop-off Centers for a $5 fee. The centers are open every Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. through Jan. 17 and are located at 1815 N. Chouteau Trafficway (just south of the Missouri river) and 10301 Raytown Road (south of Interstate 470).
