Pubic Safety & Neighborhoods Committee to hear testimony on towing practices in Kansas City
The Public Safety and Neighborhoods Committee will be holding public hearings on ordinances intended to address towing practices in Kansas City. This hearing is scheduled for December 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. The hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on the 26th Floor.
"While we are moving swiftly to address predatory towing practices, it is critical to this process that citizens attend this hearing and testify about their experiences with tow companies in Kansas City." said Councilwoman Cindy Circo, 5th District at-Large.
If citizens are unable to attend the hearing they are encouraged to fax a statement to (816) 513-1612 or email to gina_boucher@kcmo.org. These statements will be taken into consideration as these ordinances are debated.
