Water service repairs result in temporary water outage and detour in Front Street areaJul 8, 2011 The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department is notifying the public that due to an 8 inch water main break at Front Street and Southern Road, water service has been temporarily turned off in an area bounded by Front Street on the south, the Missouri river on the north, Chouteau Trafficway on the west and the eastern city limit. Service in this area will be restored when repairs are completed. It is estimated that repair work will wrap up by early evening, July 8.
