Clay County Commission seeks citizens interested in serving on appointed boards
CLAY COUNTY, Mo.: The Clay County Commission would like to hear from citizens interested in serving on county boards. Vacancies currently exist on the Public Building Authority, the Developmental Disabilities Resource Board and the Clay Platte Ray Domestic Violence Board.
The Public Building Authority was established to issue public building and public improvement bonds on behalf of Clay County in accordance with Internal Revenue Service Code (#63-20) (49.250-49.757). The board meets one time per year. Interested citizens with a background in banking, accounting or finance are encouraged to apply for appointments to the PBA.
The Developmental Disabilities Resource Board controls and manages the County’s sheltered facilities including hiring personnel and determining their compensation, and providing suitable quarters and equipment for the operation of the facilities from funds made available for this purpose, in accordance with the Missouri State Statutes (RSMo 205.970). The DDRB meets regularly. Citizens with an interest in the County’s sheltered facilities and the clientele they serve are encouraged to apply.
The Domestic Violence Board allocates and distributes funds to shelters for victims of domestic violence in accordance with Missouri State Statutes (RSMo 455.210). The Domestic Violence Board meets regularly. Citizens with an interest in shelters for victims of domestic violence are encouraged to apply.
