Lansing, KS Middle School students participate in "Challenge Day"

For the last two days, Lansing, KS Middle School students have participated in "Challenge Day". A member of the LMS site council discovered "Challenge Day" while watching an episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show. She thought this would be a good goal for our site council. We have been planning this event for the past two years. The work has been hard but we believe that we will reap many rewards because of "Challenge Day".

Our last "Challenge Day" is today, January 22, 2009. I would like to get the word out about "Challenge Day" to all of the KC metro area middle, junior high, and high schools.

Challenge Day deals with many topics--bullying, character, leadership, forgiveness, self-sacrifice, etc. The motto of "Challenge Day" is that every student deserves to be safe, loved and respected. I believe this will be a life changing experience for many of our students.

Another Challenge Day program will appear on "Oprah" this Monday, January 26, 2009.
