First Baptist Church of Olathe: Wednesday Evening church activities have been canceled due to weather.

I live in a retire center in Kansas City Ks and many of us living here need to find out where the locations are that distribute food. Many of us share what we have by taking turns fixing large amounts so more that one person can enjoy. We contribute what we have extra to parpare these meals. We are not looking for sympathy, just information, can you provide us with that?? I have searched the internet, but can't find anything. We would be very grateful for any help from you concerning this. Thanks Carole Potter

We hear stories and see programs frequently about innocent people who are unjustly accused and victimized by our legal system. The media has been dubbed "the mouth piece of the prosecutor".
Charges are filed and mug shots are shown by the media before any truth or very little investigation is done. The truth may never be known, and no one seems to care. Plea agreements are a common tool used to settle cases, with the fear of incompetent juries being the excuse to railroad innocent people into accepting a plea agreement rather than face false imprisonment. Please consider what happens to a victim of this injustice when the media has already released a slanted version from the police or prosecutor and shown a mug shot of the individual. It is character assassination and conviction by the media. It leaves a scar of distrust and disappointment that never heals. The very people we expect to protect and defend us persecute the innocent. Doctors, law enforcement, attorneys, family services, judges, the courts, the media: when you're wrong, do you care that you have effectively destroyed families both emotionally and financially? Please think before you ruin peoples lives. Find another way to report the news. Wait for the truth.

I want to share a story about the Carthage High School Graduation Class of 2011. My niece graduated from Carthage on Tuesday evening, their class sponsor made an announcement that the Carthage Class of 2011 unanimously voted to donate their Class funds for their Senior Trip to the Joplin Community. Their donation was $14,000.00. All of the parents and friends who attended the graduation gave this class a standing ovation! This tells a lot about this class's character and the kids of our future. This is such a giving gift especially at a time where they should have been celebrating their high school years. I am trying to share this selfless gift to the world.

you and most other stations seem to disregard those living down river from KC. Only P arkville gets any coverage while the rest of us are in the dark. Please try to include those of us DOWN RIVER Orrick,Sibley,etc. as we get little to no coverage concerning the flooding, THanks
